Currently in Daum’s petition thread Agora, a petition by the name of ‘KBS Jeju’s Baffling Cancellation Of JYJ’s Performance’. With two days left for the petition and a 10,000 signature goal, it has already collected over 9,200 signatures(6pm on the 19th).
The netizen who began the petition stated, “The representative of KBS Jeju stated in an interview that KBS apologized to JYJ, but we need a more detailed explanation,” and “KBS Jeju needs to apologize and explain the current situation.”
JYJ were scheduled to perform at the ‘Jeju 7 Natural Wonders of the World KBS Special’ on the 20th as the island’s honorary ambassadors. However, they received a notification of cancellation on the 16th from KBS Jeju.
JYJ’s management C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 17th, “We will take the appropriate legal action against those who deceived the artistes in this case.”

[NEWS] JYJ announces upcoming album and world tour
JYJ's Kim Jaejoong stated that JYJ is planning to release another album and hold another world tour during the latter half of the year. More specifically, he stated that they would most likely release an album before his drama "Protect the Boss" ends.
Director Lee stated, “Because [JYJ] is such a worldwide group, the scale is enormous and we’re looking at the entire second half of the year to plan [their new schedules]. Because it hasn’t been long since the world tour ended, we were thinking of taking a breather, but because [JYJ] is being sought-after greatly within not only Korea, but also North America and Europe, we decided to go right into preparing.”
Not only is JYJ planning the release of another Korean album, but they are also preparing their second worldwide album.

“JYJ Fans Seek a Collective Dispute Mediation”
We, worldwide JYJ fans, sustained serious damages from the sudden and unexplainable cancellation of JYJ’s TV appearance in Jeju Island scheduled on July 20, 2011 by KBS-Jeju (Korea Broadcasting System- Jeju). Those who made arrangements to actually visit Jeju Island to see the performance of JYJ incurred substantial financial damages during this process. We, hereby, plan to pursue an official restitution for these damages. We believe that KBS and others who are responsible for using deceptive advertising, bait and switch, and breach of implied contract by canceling it four days prior to the event should pay for consumers’ damages with sincere apologies. We plan to use a “collective dispute mediation” in Korea and file a official complaint with Korean Consumer Agency.
1. Why Consumer Collective Dispute Mediation?
In Korea, when a group of consumers sustain the same or similar type of injuries, they have a right to request the Consumer Settlement Commission for a collective resolution of dispute since the Framework Act on Consumers became effective in March of 2007. The collective dispute resolution is more cost effective and faster than class action lawsuits as there will be no fees incurred to consumers and it saves time when a representative is selected for the group. There is always a possibility that the outcome of mediation is not successful. Additionally, this claim covers direct financial losses not the emotional pains and sufferings of consumers. However, we will try our best to represent the rights of JYJ fans (consumers).
2. How This Work?
- We need at least 50 consumers who can prove their financial damages such as cancellation fees, airline tickets, lodgings, rental car, and any other direct costs related to the travel arrangements from the cancellation of JYJ’s scheduled appearance.
- A representative will be selected from the victims.
- We file a complaint, supporting evidence, and power of attorney through the Korea Consumer Agency.
3. Who Can Participate?
If you experienced and could prove financial losses from the cancellation of JYJ’s Jeju appearance on July 20, 2011, you can and should participate. Both Koreans and non Koreans can participate. If you think you are eligible, please send us an email at jyjjejuconsumer@gmail.com. In the email, please include your name, contact information, and types and estimated costs of financial loss. In the mean time, please gather the supporting evidence to prove these losses. Once we identify the victims and estimated total amount, we will get back to you for power of attorney and supporting documents. A representative will be selected from the victims. [Trans] 110722 The Reason Why Kim Junsu Chooses to Sing the OST for “Scent Of A Woman”
Kim Junsu will be participating in the OST of “Scent of A Woman”. In the weekend special of “Scent of A Woman” broadcasted by SBS on 22nd July, he will participate in the OST, and will also be having a special appearance in the show as the role popular singer Kim Junsu.
Kim Junsu had participated in the OST of Park Yoochun’s KBS drama “Sung Kyun Kwan Scandal” last year as a form of support. Hence, this has aroused much discussion as to why he chose to participate in the OST of “Scent of Woman” instead of the OST of Kim Jaejoong’s “Protect the Boss”.

Usually, he often sings drama songs such as “That man” and “Don’t forget me”, hence, as compared to acting in a drama, he would love to participate in an OST.”
The OST sung by Kim Junsu, would appear in the drama when it is announced that female lead Yeon Jae (played by Kim Sun Ah) has a limited time left to live on, hence feeling grieved by her love, yet at the same time, feeling the sweetness of her love. Especially with the lyrics, “You are so beautiful…you are so wonderful…I love you, I love you” being repeatedly sung, it makes the atmosphere even more grieving.
In addition, Kim Junsu will be making an appearance as popular singer Kim Junsu in the fifth episode of “Scent Of A Woman”. He would go on a sweet, happy date with female lead Yeon Jae. Kim Junsu and Kim Sun Ah will appear in a date together, and he would be personally singing this song, taking photos and give her his signature, displaying a much passionate scene. Yeon Jae, who has only a limited time left to live, would be the lucky successful one to be picked out for the event “A date with Junsu”.
The production team revealed, “Kim Junsu, who has the best vocals and acting skills, participated in the OST of ‘Scent Of A Woman’, and the outcome was much greater than expected; his guest appearance in the drama is also highly anticipated. I think we can expect a refreshing, happy sensation.”
