[Info] World Vision Korea Features JYJ on Website for Donating the Full Amount of Its Goal for Donations

Word Vision Korea, in response to the natural disasters in Japan, set out to gather donations to help Japan. World Vision Korea set the goal of 600 million KRW.

Yesterday, JYJ by themselves donated the entire amount– the full 600 million KRW that World Vision Korea was hoping to raise.

Today, World Vision Korea showcased JYJ on their website. The article that World Vision features is substantially similar to one found here.

There are now lies spreading by Hotels that argue that JYJ only plan to donate. Those lies are false. (It is unfortunate that we need to even explain this… but please see this article and this article and many others for absolute proof, which read that: Group JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) on the 16th DONATED to the International Relief Organization World Vision 600 million KRW of funds for Japan’s Disaster Relief” and “JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu)… also DONATED to World Vision the full amount of its goal donation for Japan’s most-damaged areas, 600 million KRW.”

There are no ambiguities yet lies are being created. It is unfortunate that Hotels, both Korean and International, do not hesitate to use Japan and her tragedy in pursuit of their unclean goals.

Edit: World Vision Japan also featured JYJ here.  World Vision Japan features JYJ’s Japanese message.

[News] C-JeS to Sue Investor Park and H Dream for Defamation and False Charges against JYJ

C-JeS has decided to take strong legal action against investor Park and his company H Dream. Park sued a person named Kim XX but also listed C-JeS and Warner Korea as co-defendants even though his suit had nothing to do with them.  (See here for the original article)

JYJ-Side, On the Fraud-Claim of Last Year’s Concerts, Takes Strong Legal Action

C-JeS Entertainment, which is in charge of JYJ’s management, has decided to take strong legal action against the relaying of one-sided claims that argue that [Park] has suffered damages due to fraud relating to the last year’s American Showcases.

H Dream (T/N: Park’s company), which sued arguing that it was defrauded by Kim XX who claimed to be a subcontractor for the JYJ’s American tour, included/mentioned JYJ and C-JeS in its complaint that it distributed to the media outlets.  Against this, C-JeS plans to take strong legal action.

The complaint that H Dream distributed to media outlets only provides that it invested in Kim XX.  There are no specific information that relate to C-JeS Entertainment or Warner Music.  There are only unilateral speculations.  Therefore, it is beyond doubt and is obvious that the above fails to establish fraud (for C-JeS). This action is of course a False Claim against Innocent Parties, and also is a Defamation through publishing upon false facts. Therefore, C-JeS has decided to counter this strictly, through law.

Law Firm Sejong’s attorney Lim Zhang Hyuk, who is representing C-JeS, said: “There always has been actions like this one (by H Dream/Park) which used the fact that entertainers are reluctant to become a subject of articles in unpleasant contexts (T/N: to get money or other benefits from the entertainers).  JYJ has so far already received unfair requests many times and have endured them. But this instant case is one that seriously overstep the limits of what can be endured, and so C-JeS decided to take strong legal action.” The attorney further said: “Cases such as this one is a chronic harm suffered by not just JYJ but other entertainers. [We] request that fans and the media cooperate (in their dealings) so that cases like this one do not happen again.”

Furthermore, C-JeS Entertainment Director Paek Chang Ju said: “The one who suffered financial and psychological harm due to the inexperience of the promotional agency of the American Tours was us. JYJ, because they made a promise with the fans, did not ask (the promotional agency) for blame but paid themselves all additional costs to complete the concerts. Despite this, [Park and H Dream] distributed to the media a complaint that had nothing to do with us. For this, we are taking strong legal action.”

[News] Exclusive Interview With JYJ on Their Donation to Japan

One of Korea’s “Big 3″ newspapers, Chosun Ilbo, has recently done a favorable feature on JYJ (see here). Joong Ang Ilbo, one of the others of the “Big 3,” also featured JYJ today.

See below for the translation:

[Earthquake in Eastern Japan] JYJ Donates 600 million KRW… With Fans around the World, “Take Heart, Japan”

[Joong Ang Ilbo, Reporter Jeong Kang Hyun]

Korean Wave Idol group JYJ donated 600 million KRW (approximately 600,000 USD) for the restoration of the damages from the large earthquakes in Eastern Japan. Junsu, Jaejoong, Yoochun (from left in the lecture) also sent their messages of their sorrowful hearts in Japanese on their home page.

The idol group JYJ, comprised of the former TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu, donated 600 million KRW to the international relief organization world Vision in relief funds for the damages due to the large earthquakes in Eastern Japan on the 16th. JYJ, who in their days as TVXQ had risen to be the top of all Korean Wave stars, are still enjoying a constant popularity in Japan after their reorganization into JYJ. On top of the donation, JYJ plan to also enthusiastically lead the effort to build awareness for the seriousness of the damages due to the Japan earthquakes through their 9-city World Tour that begins in Bangkok, Thailand in April 2nd. They will also carry out a ‘Leave a supportive comment – “Take Heart, Japan”’Campaign on their World Tour SNS website (www.facebook.com/jyjworldtourconcert). They revealed with an interview with this newspaper (Donga) that: “Japan is a place that has fans who have loved us for a long time. The decision to give was only natural, there was no need to even (consciously) decide.”

*****

Q: Your feelings upon first learning of the news of the earthquakes of the 11th?

Junsu: I felt that something quite serious must have happened because during filming in Tokyo the lights and the windows severely shook.

Yoochun: Because it was the day that Junsu was to come back from Tokyo, above all things we confirmed Junsu’s safety first, and also contacted our friends in Japan.

Q: Reason for deciding to donate?

Jaejoong: Japan is a place with people who have supported us for a long time. The desire to give help to a place that is suffering from such a horrible disaster is (I believe) not just ours but the common belief of all people.

Q: It’s said that you worried a lot on whether to disclose the fact of your donation.

Junsu: Actually we wanted to donate anonymously. But we felt that if we revealed our desire for giving, more people may join us in our effort. Already I heard that fans of JYJ all around the world are giving with their hearts, and felt that if we joined directly we may be able to help (Japan) in a greater way (than otherwise).

Q: How will the donated funds be used?

Junsu: They will be used to provide emergency relief items to Sendai and Fukushima, the areas that suffered the most damages, and also be used for the restoration and the reconstruction of the cities and for the programs of children’s shelters. For the children’s shelters, there will be programs that can heal the hearts of the children who suffered shocks.

Q: The calm response by the Japanese is gathering a lot of attention.

Yoochun: I was moved by how the Japanese so calmly responded (to the situation) even though the shock they received from the unexpected disaster must have been severe.

Q: Words you would like to send to the Japanese Fans?

Jaejoong: I want to tell them that we are always sharing the sadness of their hearts with them. We wish that they will take heart soon and have hope. We will pray for the fast restoration, as if they are our family.

Ahn Jae Wook, who is enjoying enormous popularity in Japan, also donated 100 million KRW to the Red Cross. The singer Kim Chang Wan will hold a “Help Japan Emergency Non-Profit Concert” with the few critical independent bands that perform in the Hongic University of Seoul. [News] 110316 International Fans Gather to Support Japan Via the JYJ Charity Foundation Japan Relief Fund

On March 11, a 9.0 magnitude mega-earthquake rocked the North-eastern coast of Japan. The earthquake triggered massive tsunamis as tall as 10 meters high which destroyed entire towns and flooded the Sendai International Airport. Officials have confirmed over 3,000 deaths, and the total death toll is expected to pass 10,000. Survivors are facing another challenge, as nuclear reactors including four at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear power plant have exploded due to cooling systems failures, causing radiation leaks.

Dozens of Korean celebrities went to their Twitter accounts to leave comments of condolences and prayers in Korean, English and Japanese. Some went even further and donated hundreds of thousands of USD to the earthquake victims. Most recently, CJeS revealed that JYJ has donated 600 million won to Japan.

After some planning, a close friend of JYJ, "John the Egg," launched the "JYJ Charity Foundation Japan Relief Fund," stating:

We have an opportunity to show compassion and kindness to the people of Japan. The images and videos I’ve seen on the news have been horrific to say the least. I can’t imagine what the people of Japan are going through. Seeing the destruction, I don’t even know how we can help, if we can even make a difference, but we will try. We MUST try. We can’t stand idly by. Thousands have lost their family, children, mothers, homes, and even hope. Many children are crying out of hunger and fear, and men and women have lost their homes and jobs. We can’t turn back time or put things the way they were, but what we can do is take action and show our kindness and a helping hand to these people that lost hope, peace, family, and their way of life. With your generosity they might be able to eat, find shelter, have a warm blanket, and perhaps reunite with their families again. We just hope for a sense of normalcy and possibly put a smile on their face once again.

We will be collecting donations from all of you to give to the people of Japan. The least we can do is offer up our prayers for them and send our gifts. This is why the JYJ Charity Foundation was created. Our mission statement, “We are a fan base of JYJ promoting the welfare of mankind through good deeds” will be our motto and steer this vehicle for future good deeds. Please join in giving to this cause. Please send your best for the people of Japan. You will regret many things in life, but you will NEVER regret being kind. Thank you.

Within one day, the foundation has already received over $5,000 USD in donations, which is 5% of their $100,000 USD target goal.  To donate thru JYJ Charity Foundation:  http://www.firstgiving.com/japan-1988ce.  Please send out your condolences for Japan.

[Trans] 3hree Voices 2 Staff: JYJ’s Love for Japan, Shown Through Their Interviews

The Japanese staff member who participated in the making of 3hree Voices 2 blogged again, this time after learning of JYJ’s donation to Japan.  He details his memory on how JYJ’s interviews showed their true love for the country of Japan.

Here is the translation:

Their Heart for Japan is true, one that needs not be questioned.

They donated 600 million KRW (600,000 USD) for Japan’s disaster.

With gratitude, thank you.

Below is an Excerpt from Entertainment Korea: 16 March 2011 Chosun

(… Article Excerpt is substantially similar to one found here.)

Their comment on C-JeS home page was also one that was very clean, wearing suits.

Each and every comment had love and consideration, they were beautiful (T/N: literally, “magnificent”).

They are still in their twenties, yet they’ve done so much.  I was moved truly, to the point of tears.

What I wrote up to here has already been reported officially. Because you readers also know what they say, there is nothing that I should necessarily add.

I think I also understand the reason that you cannot help but love JYJ.

Let’s feel their love with all of our body, and overcome this hardship.

They are with (T/N: next to) us.  From that only, even, how much courage will we derive.

I am thankful for their existence.

*****
Here, I introduce a bit some episodes that involve JYJ.

March 10

*****
After Junsu’s interview was finished, I shook hands and turned back, and a staff members was in tears.

“You, why are you crying,” I said, and (the staff said)

That s/he was moved.  That from a certain point in the middle (of the interview), the tears would not stop…

After that, I also listened to the recording once more, and I also began to be teary.

Why is that?

First, he ardently talked about how much he had relied on his fans.  For a half of a year, he had felt the sorrow of not being able to properly send his thankful heart in response to the support.

When he arrived at Haneda, his heart was that he’d only (finally) come.  And he felt apologetic after seeing so many fans gathered… that he felt fortunate to be in Tokyo, that he was happy, he told his impressions.

And, in the interview, he said that– already, Japan is his second country.  But even though he wanted to come, he could not.  So (now) that he was able to come, he was happy.

That he was able to come (all the way to) here thanks to the support of the fans, and because of that he won’t give up.

The words that he would not give up were very deep.  In fact they were filled with emotion.

*****
On the interview,

Jaejoong’s way of speech was that Tokyo was not special—

– that he does not feel a distance from Seoul to Tokyo.  I asked him whether it was a feeling (that I get when I) travel from Tokyo to Osaka, and Jaejoong said yes, but now that I think about it, I think the feeling is closer to one that you get when you go from Shibuya to Roppongi (T/N: both Shibuya and Roppongi are districts in the city of Tokyo).

In their songs, there are no borders (of nations).

So it won’t do that Japan, a nation of the free, is not a country that they can freely come and go.

*****
As for Yoochun, unfortunately, I could not interview him due to (my) circumstances, but according to what I heard from a staff member:

The Korean staff started the interview in Korean, but (because Yoochun said that) to talk in Japanese would be better, the only Japanese staff was hurriedly picked…

The staff, who was suddenly appointed, was in panic… (laugh)

But Yoochun, who is amused by it.

Staff who is interviewing with desperation.

After it was over, around them were sounds of great admiration.

The reason for that is that Yoochun actually answered with an expression that was comfortable and very good.

But although complimented on the questions and the content that they were good, the staff was regretful and regretful of his (or her) panic.  I know that feeling.

*****
Let’s take JYJ’s Heart for Japan into our own hearts and let’s overcome this.

Believing that, one day, we will be able to meet them.

Group JYJ is donating 600 million KRW (approximately 600,000 USD), which is the full amount of the goal for emergency relief donations by World Vision for areas which suffered the most serious harms due to Japan’s Earthquake.

According to their agency on the 16th, JYJ’s donation will provide emergency relief articles/items to Sendai and Fukushima, and are to be used for the city’s reconstruction restoration and a shelter program for children.

JYJ will not stop with this current donation but rather dedicate themselves to long-term aid. They will actively lead the effort to build awareness of the seriousness of the damages from Japan’s earthquake through their 9-city World Tour that begins in Bangkok on the coming April 2nd.

Furthermore, JYJ plan to continuously send their messages of support through the World Vision Japan Homepage. Also, JYJ will unfold through their World Tour SNS website (www.facebook.com/jyjworldtour2011), which is operated in conjunction with their official website for the duration of the tour, a campaign for “Take Heart, Japan” comments/replies and a donation program with World Vision with fans all over the world.

Not only that, for the Korean performance which is the finale of the World Tour, JYJ will add meaning by inviting volunteers (of Japan relief).

JYJ said: “To be honest, we hesitated in letting others know of our donation because of the burdens doing so brings. But we believe that our actions can serve as an impetus for getting many more others to join the effort. We hope that our donation will be used practically for helping the areas that are the most harmed by the earthquake. We hope that everyone in Japan, including those of Korean descent, will be restored of calm as soon as possible.

On the other hand, the JYJ World Wide Tour SNS website (www.facebook.com/jyjworldtour2011), which is preparing the campaign, has had 50,000 fans from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and other parts of the world, visit since it’s opening a week ago.
