[FANACCOUNT] Tears, Jaejoong, Wounds, Hope, Love. Japan Charity Concert 2011

Because I went to the live that was held last winter in Jamshil I was meeting with Jaejoong on stage in only half a year, but my friend with whom I went had only seen Jaejoong in last year’s A-nation and so for her it had been 10 months. Even before the concert began my friend was sad—after watching this live, when could she see Jaejoong again? … I think this was the sentiment of all Japanese fans.
They had taken out all of the solo songs and had put in two encore songs and the performance was about 1 hour and 20 minutes each. I wondered whether if they had done a proper 2-hour live they would have problems with Avex (a company that I hate to even mention)… or whether the two consecutive performances would be too demanding physically.
I was the Evening performance but in order to buy the goods I had arrived at the venue a bit after 1pm, but the vicinity of the venue was too chaotic due to the fans. There were a lot of fans who had been unable to procure the tickets and so had come only to buy the goods… The majority of the fans had been unaware that there would be an event when the ticketing opened (which was the very day of the date on which the announcement for the ticketing was made… I believe that there is only one reason for which one needs to hurry in procedure like this… because of that damned company – -;), and also many fans do not even know that there was even an event. Even around me there are many fans who did not even know that a ticketing took place. Despite this, in the blink of an eye 20,000 tickets were sold out—that is something amazing…
As for the goods, there were only two kinds—the T shirt and the pamphlet… so I was quite disappointed… There were those who were selling the paparazzi photos that had been taken during the afternoon performance before the evening performance began on the streets… those were seriously selling like hotcakes. I told my friend… “I think they were all starved,” and my friend told me that the Japanese fans had been starved… haha that they were all buying impulsively… hahaha My friend also bought quite a few sets. Haha
I definitely understand… that they did not have time to pay attention to the goods… but next time, I wish that they will be able to be in a larger venue, properly sell the goods… properly do the ticketing… (these things are such basic things… TT.T)
Because the venue was an arena exclusively made for Japan’s sumo matches, the space on which one could construct the stage was very small. The stage was constructed on the sandbox that is the field for sumo matches, and there must have been many limitations to the performance… But it seems that our Director Kim had arranged things quite well, despite everything…
My heart broke because the venue was so small… It’s okay if I need to use binoculars to watch… they need to perform in front of many more fans in a large space. Isn’t that only right? Live House, Hall, Budokan, Arena, Dome… I had seen these not-few stages that Jaejoong had stood on… when I recalled the Tokyo Dome of last year my chest seemed to burn… How had Jaejoong himself felt… TT.T
There was an announcement in the venue that the performance would begin soon, and the fans all stood up to shout “JYJ.” This is a scene that could not be seen until now… It seems that the mood that said “now let’s call them JYJ” had been relayed onto the Japanese fans for this Tour.
There were quite a lot of green lights mixed in with the red fanlights. I was also holding both the red and the green, both turned on. Around me, fans holding the fanlight shaped like a J… Indeed Jaejoong fans were the most numerous. ^_^
The concert began with Empty and ended with In Heaven…. I was so disappointed that I could not see the sexy performance of Jaejoong’s solo stage.
I was really extremely shocked by Jaejoong’s dancing which had seriously upgraded since last year’s Jamshil Stadium Live…. Now that he’s perfected his dancing… he is unrivalled in all the worlds… Our Jaejoong-sama TT.T
I shouted so much… even now my throat hurts. TT.T
Jaejoong’s hair was still a perm… I like this hair quite a bit. He’s always shown us the hair that bounces in its straightness… Small curls reminded me of a poodle puppy so I love it. This is a rarity… keke
Only the beginning hello and the ending goodbye was done, and the time for the Talk wasn’t long. Jaejoong… he kept saying that there is a limit to the Time of the concert… that it was impossible to talk too long… TT.T
This is something quite obvious but our Jaejoong, he is so good at Japanese… The hellos and the talk was almost all done by Jaejoong… and the Japanese was perfect…
“Last year I said goodbye, saying let’s see each other in another live… and I was so afraid that I’d not be able to keep this promise. I was so worried whether today’s concert would be properly carried out, and even in this very moment I feel that my being here is a dream… In the future I want to do a proper live and want to do a Japan-wide tour…” The Japanese fans agreed to what Jaejoong said and also shouted “We waited for you! It’s okay~! Welcome back~!! We’ll wait~!!!” to him.
Also… Jaejoong told us… “The fans who are gathered here, I don’t think you as the audience…. You’re like family…”
When Jaejoong said “because we are having two performances in one day… I was worried whether you’d come…” At this time the response of the fans was really something. “Omo… Oppa why are you saying something that isn’t really in your heart… we did fill even the Dome, you know?” Like that… Everyone was like “huh??” Kekekekeke Our Jaejoong was slightly embarrassed. Kekeke
The Japanese fans had an event by holding a message board that read “Thank You, Beginning Again.” When they were singing Empty as the encore song… really… almost every single fan in the first-floor audience was holding the message. I was the Evening performance… and since this is after Jaejoong had seen the event in the Afternoon performance… I have no way of knowing how Jaejoong reacted the first time. But I believe that he must have been moved. After singing Empty, Jaejoong did not forget and thanked us—“Everyone is holding something. Thank you.” (Jaejoong had also thanked us in the Dome concert from two years ago, at the blue-light event… Indeed, this is our Jaejoong… TT.T)
This is only my belief… but at the very least, the fans who saw this day’s performance… they definitely cannot move onto a different idol group. They showed the fans that they are of a different class, a different level. There is no need to even talk about the singing, and even the performance and the back dancers were perfect… I really liked it even better than the Dome performance from 2009 or the Dome performance from last year.
And the part in which I welled up to cry, personally, was when the entire audience sang along in Korean from beginning to end when they sang “Found You.” In particular, for “I love you, You I love,” the fans waved the lights and shouted it so that one could hear it very well on the stage… it was so moving.
(Even on my Japanese blog there are many bloggers who come to a posting that I’ve done of Found You’s meaning and its pronunciation in Katakana after searching for Found You’s lyrics… For the Japanese, Korean is immensely difficult… I was so shocked.)
Jaejoong’s new songs were such perfect capstones to the concert.
When I was in the Jamshil live… I had hoped that there was a song with a strong beat and in which fans could interject and enjoy themselves, like an SMP (- -;) and a song that showed the singing ability to the fullest like Love in the Ice and Bolero… and Jaejoong’s new songs satisfied each element… I thought that indeed, Director Jaejoong-nim is seeing clearly through the mind of the fans.
The concert flew by in an instant… Jaejoong said that next time he wishes to come back to Japan with a proper concert… that he without fail wishes to come again…
————————————————————————————————-
I became a fan of Jaejoong in Japan… I’ve been going to see the concerts ever since the 2nd Live… I’ve even gone to see unadorned stages that were events and not solo concerts… and even the small stages that they had stood on immediately after debut in Japan, if they were near my home, I had gone to later to just check out the venue. I’ve also seen all of the A-nations… that begin with Jaejoong singing in an awkward hour in the afternoon when there weren’t very many people… and ended with him appearing on close-to-final stage that shone with the red fan lights everywhere… I’ve bought and collected CD’s praying that… if only it would be among the top 5 of the Oricon charts… if only the first sales would be over 50,000… I cannot know completely with what kind of a heart Jaejoong must have walked this path, but I think I know a little. And with what kind of a heart the fans supported such a Jaejoong—that I know better than anyone.
There would not be any such people among the Jaejoong fans… but when I see words that are skeptical of Japanese activities, I get wounds in my heart despite being a mere fan. It is a position that took such efforts……… Jaejoong could have made history to a greater degree in Japan’s entertainment industry. That was stripped from him….. One day he must come back to Japan and tour and have great activities…. Our Jaejoong.
After watching the concert I returned home the next morning via Shinkansen. The weather seemed gloomy and in the morning there was a slight drizzle. On the Shinkansen train… and watching the rain of Tokyo… My tears welled up and poured.
Underneath the sky of Tokyo just how much sweat and tears Jaejoong must have shed, and also just how big of a dream did he have, how big of a hope had he nursed… and also just how many wounds must he have received and betrayals…
I have many memories in Tokyo thanks to Jaejoong, but right now those memories are pains. I am like this… then what about Jaejoong…? When I thought of this… my tears just flowed.
So I cried like this, looking out the window… I was so tired due to enduring the lines for the goods and jumping up and down during the live so I fell asleep while crying… but at a certain point my eyes shot open and so I looked outside the window and I saw the Nagoya Gaishi Hall… this is one of the venues that he had stood on during the Arena Tour… Again I was saddened… TT.T
This is not a report but rather just sentimental moans…
But the conclusion is that… I’m going to keep supporting the Japanese activities… so Avex, remove your dirty hands…
