[Trans] JYJ-SM lawsuit, symbolizes struggle with 'super power group' across whole cultural sections

Last year, Yoon DH & Kim JD (due to MCing and singing during memorial ceremony of the late President Rho), Son SH (due to critical view of current government) and many upright opinion leaders were dismissed and disappeared into obscurity from the eyes of public.  Why is that?

When MB government came to the power, liquidation, with Yoo IC, Chief of Ministry of Curture in charge, swept over all sections of cultural area.  It was said to be a horrible times for artists outside mainstream such as independent cinemas and indi bands.  They were even forced to take "Independent" off title.

Cultural media has the strongest command over mass people.  That’s why it has become a priority to be put under control by this government.  They have been achieving it successfully.  Heads of all three major broadcasting stations have been replaced. 

Therefore, JYJ situation is not just a problem of their own issues.  Leaders of government & association under the influence of Conservative political group and their mutual consent with established power of industry.  It’s not just a fight between JYJ and SM, but symbolize a struggle with 'super power group' across whole cultural sections.  Even after the supreme court issue a verdict in favor of JYJ, if TV station refuse to put them on show with all kinds of fabricated excuses, there would be nothing left for us to do except spamming writing board with protesting comments.  Such a passive method would not work to change the current situation. The news article seems to imply that only hope of countermeasure standing up to established power backed up by Conservative politics is mass consumer, thus united power of JYJ fandom might be the answer.

According to my acquaintance in Politics, it is a commonly acknowledged opinion among them that JYJ’s survival up to now is already an unexpected wonder and not anticipated much longer.  They think there is no hope against invincible system regardless of victory at the court.  However, one thing they could not quite predict was the power of 'fandom'.  They are quite amazed by achievements of JYJ so far including The beginning album, showcase, concert, musical, drama, award, tv appearance, music essay without the support of management company but solely of fandom.

As we know, breaking through established power always requires enormous effort, time and energy.  It was also the power of fandom which elicited the FTC decision over unfair contract.  It awakened media’s attention and became a turning point for positive reports.  It is now necessary to reflect carefully how to organize fandom to approach the matter with POLITICAL enforcement so that radical change can be achieved. 

(To answer some complaints that journalists are turning their responsibility over to fans: Media also need excuses.  Under the current atmosphere, they would not risk antipathy of the powerful by taking sides with JYJ.  They sit and wait until we create enough issues for them to go after)
