JYJ announces world tour in Asia & North America, Jaejoong to be the director

It’s official: JYJ is set to embark on a large-scale world tour!

The trio is planning to resume their overseas promotion in April by having ‘JYJ World Tour Concert in 2011’, holding concerts in five Asian countries and five North American cities.

The world tour will be a part of their last album, ‘The Beginning’s promotions, with concerts in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Canada.

Jaejoong will specifically be in charge of directing the concerts in Asia. He has previously directed certain stage productions, including partaking in visual effects, with other staff in their last concerts in Korea, U.S., and Japan.

He will now supervise all the concerts set to be held in Asia, planning and directing performances.

A representative from C-Jes Entertainment stated, “Jaejoong’s interest in directing concerts has been growing. After proving his credibility by directing some performances in previous concerts, we named him one of the directors of our world tour“.

Before embarking on the epic tour, JYJ is planning to hold a fan meeting in March, in celebration of ‘White Day.’
