JYJ To Begin Worldwide Tour In April; 7,000 Fans Attended Fan Meet


Famous Korean boy band, JYJ, has accepted the request of international fans and has decided to hold their worldwide concert starting from April this year.

According to the Korean media, JYJ will start off their world tour in the beginning of April in Thailand.  Between then till the end of May, they will be travelling to Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, New York, Los Angeles, Washington as well as Canada to hold their “JYJ Worldwide Tour In 2011”.

What’s worth mentioning is that one of the members, JaeJoong, will be directing the performances in the concerts held in Asia. This has led to the increment of the fans’ excitement.

On 28th February 2011, 80,000 JYJ fans handed in a petition with regards to JYJ’s activities rights as well as personal rights to the Seoul Central Court officials. The petition recorded contents from February 2nd to 25th, was translated into 10 languages including English, Mandarin, Japanese and French, and a total of 86,418 participants from 118 counties signed the petition.

Due to the massive support gained internationally, JYJ successfully held their first fan meet the day before.

On the 12th of this month in Seoul Jamsil Stadium, JYJ held their first fan meet where a total of 7,000 fans attended. Following the end of their concert held on November last year, this was the first up-close fan meet event after approximately 4 months.

The activities on that day lasted for about 3 hours, during which JYJ passionately performed a total of 7 songs including ‘Empty’ and ‘Be My Girl’.

During the event, under the leading of their idols, the fans prayed for the victims of the Japan earthquake. One of the members, JunSu ,revealed that he was supposed to return to Korea from Japan on the 11th after finishing his work, but It was delayed due to the close down of the airport.
