Way to go Yoochun!  

Here's the YouTube video of this news.  I hope somebody can translate it soon.  According to the write-up I read, the reason DVD No. 10 went up in the ranking is primarily due to the viewer's interest in the last scene where Yoochun was supposed to have acted a little different....

[News] 110421 Spotting The Evidence of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ High Popularity in Japan

KBS drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ which aired in South Korea in November last year eventually is causing a frenzy in Japan as well.

A popular internet website bulletin board recently posted a picture under title ‘Recent snap from a Japan video rental shop’.

The picture shows some shelves of a video rental shop in Japan that are fully packed with ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ DVDs and music soundtracks, while promotional posters containing images of the drama’ protagonists Moon Jae-Sin (Yu Ah-In), Lee Seon-jun (Park Yoochun), Kim Yun-hee (Park Min Young), and Gu Yeong-ha (Song Jung-gi) are also attached in front of the shelves.

Japan rental shop that is seen in the picture is actually Japan’s largest rental shop TSUTAYA, since last April 20th TSUTAYA has begun to rent out Japanese edition of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ DVD. Meanwhile the DVD sales is expected to start in store on April 22nd.

Ever since the Japanese version of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ DVD started to rent out, it ever occupied the 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, and 20th position in TSUTAYA DVD Rental Chart.

On April 22nd, Sungkyunkwan Scandal DVD Box 1 will be released containing the love story of historical youth. It has been confirmed that the DVD Box 2 will contain a special DVD.

The Korean drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” takes place in a prestigious university named “Sungkyunkwan” for the elites during the Chosen period. Love and friendship between the students, this drama depicts the colours of youth, and revolves around a young love story. This drama received great popularity as it was viewed all over Korea. It was the most searched keyword on the internet and it had become a social phenomenon. Starring Yoochun for the first time, he acted along side Song Jung Ki, Yoo Ah In, and others. The main cast of this drama won this large explosive popularity.

This time, a special DVD will be included in the DVD Box 2 which will include interviews from the 4 main leads (Yoochun, Jung Ki, Yoo Ah In, Park Min Yeong), and also the video recording of the actors in this drama wining awards (Yoochun received 3 awards) during 2010 KBS Drama Awards.
