“Kim Jaejoong” – A member of JYJ, Korean celebrity – worried about Thai elephants that are endangered. He posted a tweet on twitter and Thai cassies, who felt alert, created donation boxes for donations, to help foundations, and place the boxes in Kim Junsu’s Concert.

From the fact that “JYJ”, a South Korean boy band that are made of three boys – “Kim Jaejoong”, “Park Yoochun” and “Kim Junsu”, has came to open and start their world tour in Thailand on the 2nd to 3rd of April, 2011 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. Kim Jaejoong, the person who likes elephants, loves elephants and always wanted so much to ride an elephant, started singing “Chang Chang Chang Chang (the Elephant song)” on the stage has made the fans shocked and stunned with excitement.

And recently, on this 29th of April, “Kim Jaejoong” has just posted a tweet, in Korean, on twitter, saying, “The elephants are endangered in Thailand? This can’t be……..oh my dear elephants.” Thai Cassiopeia fanbases, i.e. TVXQ Thailand, MICKYWORLD etc, has translated the tweeted into Thai language and spread the word about his tweet.

While another Cassiopeia with the name of ‘TVXQKEEP5’ and ‘Unnamed Project’ has posted a message, persuading Thai Cassies to help donate money for the Thai elephants under the name “Thai Cassies help Thai elephants”. They would place the donation boxes around ten locations: Siam Paragon shopping centre and at Kim Junsu’s concert. After that they would gather and sum up the money, then give it to a foundation called “Friends of the Asian Elephant” in the name of Kim Junsu, Park Yoochun, Kim Jaejoong, Shim Changmin and Jung Yunho. Also on this 1st -15th May, they will hire volunteers to help with the donation boxes, by carrying them and ask for donations, on those days as well.

[NEWS] 120413 Seoul City Mayor Got Touched by JYJ Fans’ Vote

JYJ fans made a mosaic with 1580 photos from voting proof shots.

April 12 was a day of parliament election in Korea and many celebrities encouraging their fans to vote.

A day before the election day, JYJ’s Jaejoong also encouraged his fans to vote through message on twitter, “Everyone, please vote for the parliament election. Please take a photo after a vote.”

After fans started spread the word, a total 1580 photos were gathered after completing the votes and created a mosaic.

Many viewers including JYJ’s Jaejoong was surprised by fans’ participation as well as the mosaic picture made by 1580 photos of their proof shots.

Even Seoul city Mayor Park Won Soon was touched by JYJ Fans. On Twitter, Mayor Park Won Soon left his reflection “It is really touching. I support you guys.”

This line in Kim Jaejoong’s twitter was only a start. This tweet from Jaejoong instigated a lot of participation throughout the election day.

On the 11th, fans who accepted Jaejoong’s “voting encouragement” started a game of “voting proof-shots”. And then a fan compiled all the proof photos from JYJ fans into a collage and uploaded it to the internet.

By 2pm Korean time, there were over 300 proof-shots that were uploaded by fans to the internet.

JYJ fans kept commenting things like “JYJ could increase voting participation rate by 1%” and “JYJ public influence” to further encourage other fans to vote.

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong and the fans’ “voting proof-shot” game meant that in the age of Korean SNS, a new voting culture has arise.

JYJ is gaining unprecedented exposure in Japan through opening their official Japan website on April 9.

In lieu of the launch the trio has garnered large attention as even the website servers were down due to the influx of access to the site.

It will be interesting to see how the trio global popularity will fan out in Japan igniting the hearts of their Japanese fans.

The group also is to hold a large scale ‘fan exhibition’ for JYJ’s global fans supervised under C-Jes Entertainment. The agency announced its plans to expand the membership system in Korea to Japanese fans as well.

The group will hold a fan meeting in June as well inviting 15,000 Korean and Japanese people randomly to be selected.

For the lucky Japanese fans that are selected to attend the event, the agency will provide cheap plane ticket and accommodation as a special package. It was announced for Korean and Japanese fans who have membership will attend the event for free.

[TRANS] The Madness Continues in Chile, JYJ in the Magazine 13/20 April Edition

“We will always include CHILE in our worldwide tours”

With an amazing show, the south korean group, debuted in our country before thousands of fans who packed the Teatro Caupolicán. The concert was a dream came true and we revive it here for you.

They came, literally, from the other side of the world, and because of that they caused such a great revolution on Chilean’s and other southamerican’s media. But for Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu, members of JYJ, distance wasn’t a problem, in fact they didn’t care about it, so they decided to travel to this large and thin strip called Chile.

After two days traveling -including a delayed in Los Angeles, USA- they arrived to Santiago to delight their thousands fangirls and fanboys, who dreamed to see with their own eyes the amazing performace of the group, that surely they had enjoyed a lot by youtube.


THE CONCERT
On Friday, the 9th (march), at 9 pm, lights turned off in the Teatro Caupolican, and the craziness of the audience started. Images of the boys showed in two big screens were the perfect prelude for the show. As soons as the first chords for “Empty” started, JYJ appeared in the scenario with very eye-catching red suits. The hysteria of the fans was mixed with the happiness to see them at just a few meters of distance.

“Ayyy Girl” and a remix of “Be my Girl” continue the show, that was interrupted for their individual introduction, the ment. The songs “I love you” (Yoochun), “I will protect you” (Jaejoong), and “Intoxication” (Junsu) surprised the fans. Especially the last one, that was brilliantly danced and performed. Night went on, and the show interspersed songs with great videos -one of them made in Santiago- to have time in order to change their outfit.

Despite the language barrier, the boys of JYJ were really eager to communicate with the crowd. So, with two translators, they made a very moving speech, and then interacted with their fans.

The response didn’t wait, and between screams, and the classic “mijito rico” (T/N: In Chile you use that to say that a boy is super-ultra hot/handsome/yummy/etc xD), girls asked for “La colita”, although they were surprised, they agreed happily and said they were never asked to do something like that. They also said it was incredible to be in South America, that everything was like a dream, and they were so amazed by the country that they made a promise: “We will always include Chile in our worldwide tours” .

When everything seemed to be ending, the boys were back in the scenario, and they trully turned the theater into an electronic party. They sang and danced the remixed versions of “Get Out” and “Empty” leaving every single soul with the energy sky-high. The concert ended with a goodbye video and fans didn’t move from their place till it was finished. Many of them bursted into tears inconsolably. Without noticing that Kpop phenomenon is going to last on for a while yet.


“MUSIC CONNECT US” 
The same they JYJ arrived to Chile, they made a press conference at Hotel W. And we will tell you the details of it now.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE RECEPTION OF FANS WHEN YOU ARRIVED TO CHILE?
- We had never travel like this, two days more or less, we got to know how difficult was to reach to a country in South America, but when we entered to the airport and we saw all the fans, all the tireness of the journey inmediatly dissapear. In Chile we found out people greet each other with a kiss on the cheek, at the airport, a fan approached to me to greet me, he was taller than me so I couldn’t do anything -laughs-.

DO YOU THINK K-POP WILL BE ABLE TO ENTER TO SOUTH AMERICAN MUSICAL MARKET DESPITE LANGUAGE BARRIERS? 
- In our country, pop, in any language, is recognized. Music is a language that connect everybody, so the rhythm and passion is a real feeling. I think it’s possible.

AFTER THIS WORLDWIDE TOUR… WHAT IS JYJ GOING TO DO?
- South America is the end of our worldwide tour, we don’t know the exact date, but in june or july, summer time in Korea, we have planned to release our second album. We think at the end of this year we are going to start our new tour.

YOU ARE WORKING IN YOUR NEW ALBUM. DO YOU HAVE PLANNED TO INCLUDE ANY SONG IN SPANISH?
- I really appreciate your question. In our history as a band, we have made japanese, and english songs, therefore, we think someday we are including songs in Spanish, which will help us to learn and understand a little bit more of this language.

Among my friends, there’s someone who produced idol’s official goods, and when asked why don’t they make JYJ’s goods and why JYJ’s goods are limited, it turns out that among Korean’s goods maker, JYJ is banned.. While many celebrities are uploading proof shots of them voting, JYJ’s fans collected their voting pictures and made a mosaic pattern.

It all began when JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong tweeted on April 9, “Guys, don’t forget to vote. I want to see the proof shots, please.”

On reading his tweet, many fans uploaded pictures which later became a mosaic pattern. Even at this very moment, many proof shots are being updated online. The number of votes is totaled every hour, and the number of proof shots is increasing geometrically.

Fans of JYJ are creating a stir with their proof shots. Last year in October, some fans inspired laughter by uploading a picture in which they are covering their faces with a CD of JYJ at the by-election of the Mayor of Seoul.

Netizens who saw the pictures comment: “JYJ’s fans and their proof shots are just amazing.” “Fans are going after their singers, I see.” “An appropriate fandom formed! They are the best.” “The more I see it, the funnier I find it. What an idea.”

Today, the 11th of April, the 19th general election will be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Each citizen is given two ballots: one for a candidate and the other for a party. JYJ member Park Yoochun, who plays as Lee Gak in the Rooftop Prince drama has always receivs support from fellow member Junsu.

Yoochun said, Junsu never missed watching every episode which also featured actress Han Ji Min as Bak ha. ”I was very happy when he told that he likes to watch Rooftop Prince. But I was disappointed because he was watching the drama, not because he was impressed with my acting talent, but because he wants to see Ji Min.” Ji Min also recognized Junsu’s antics who admire her because during the filming set, Yoochun often talked about Junsu’s behavior.

Since the drama broadcasted through episode 4, the rating for Rooftop Prince has been increasing. “Once when i went to a restaurant, the elder generation did not know me.
