Due to the concert of the idol group JYJ that will be held in Pusan’s Sajik Indoors Gymnasium on the 11^th and 12^th, Pusan is getting excited. Because it seems that about 3,000 foreign fans of JYJ such as the Japanese fans will visit Pusan for this concert, the hotels and the department stores are basking in as if it is the special season.

World Tour Finale to be Held in Pusan

JYJ chose as the final city of their tour after the five cities in Thailand, Taiwan, China, and the US to be Pusan. Therefore the interest of the fans are more heated than for any other performance. Even though a 4-days 3-nights concert travel package from a travel agency in Japan reaches 3,000,000 KRW (approximately 3,000 USD), about 1,000 people registered for it.

Prior to this, the tickets for the JYJ Pusan Concert that began to be sold on the 27^th of last month from 8pm completely sold out—20,000 tickets within 15 minutes of ticketing’s start. That JYJ chose Pusan as the location for their final tour stop was also to be considerate for the fans of Japan and Southeast Asia.

The good deeds of the fans of Japan also catches the eye. The members of 7 fanclubs in Japan numbering about 2,000 have currently ordered about 1.5 tons of rice and plan to donate to JYJ. An affiliate of Rice of Je Dreamy, a rice garland business, said: “Even now the orders are continuing and we expect that about 2 tons will gather.” The names of the Japanese fans who participated in the donation will be written on a large cloth and will be placed in front of the concert venue along with the rice garland. JYJ plans to give the donated rice to a societal relief organization in the Pusan area.

Hotels / Distributors Flash Season

The employees of Nongsim Hotel, which is closest to the concert venue, has gone into emergency work system on the day as the members of JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu) and the affiliates of the agency C-JeS are staying there. The hotel plans to make the room that JYJ stayed in into the “JYJ Room” to utilize in marketing.

Pusan Lotte Hotel has been picked as the ticket-distributing place for the JYj concert tickets and it is planned that on the 11^th, thirty-five tour buses (45 people each) will gather in the hotel. This hotel has already has ceased taking reservations a month ago for its 200 rooms. The hotels that are around the Haeundae (T/N: Pusan’s beach) area are also seeing their rooms run out. Sentum Hotel, thanks to the effects of the Sinsegye Sentun City which is the vicinity’s largest department store and convenient transportation, has had 500 Japanese fans book about 300 rooms.

Department stores and Duty-Free shops have also become busy alongside the above. The Lotte Duty Free store, in order to lure the customers who visit the Lotte hotel in order to receive their tickets to the Duty Free store, has prepared as gifts about 1000 clear files that has JYJ’s photographs. An affiliate of the Lotte Department store said: “Because JYJ fans of Japan and China are visiting Pusan en masse, we are looking forward to an increase in sales.”

[News] 110609 Korean airline prepares a chartered plane for Japanese fans attending JYJ concert

Talk about the power of international fans — in response to the high number of Japanese fans flocking to Busan en masse for the upcoming JYJ concert, Air Busanhas announced plans to fly a specially chartered airplane this week.

Air Busan, a subsidiary of Asiana Airlines regionally concentrated in Busan, revealed today that preparations are being made to accommodate the number of Japanese tourists seeking to attend the upcoming JYJ concerts on June 11 and 12. Air Busan normally flies the Osaka-Busan route twice a day with morning and afternoon flights, but due to the skyrocketing demand, preparations for a chartered plane were made accordingly.

An official from the agency stated, “Among the international airlines, Air Busan is the only airline flying a chartered airplane for this concert. We specifically arranged this for Japanese fans to reduce the unfortunate event of having to miss one’s favorite singer’s concert due to a lack of [airplane] seats.”

Meanwhile, in the midst of worry regarding the aftereffects of the recent earthquake, Air Busan has scheduled planes for the Busan-Norita route on June 23 as scheduled in order to keep its promise to its customers.

The hotel industry of the Haeundae (T/N: Pusan’s well-known beach) is screaming with delight because Japanese fans are gathering en masse in order to see the concert of the idol group “JYJ” that will be held on the coming 11^th and 12^th in Pusan. In grand Hotel, Novotel, Sentum Hotel and the like, in all Hotels of Haeundae there are bookings of 200 to 300 rooms and for this weekend all rooms are completely filled.

According to the industry, these fans who have been gathered by a travel agency in Japan number around 1,000. However, when taking into account those who are attending the Pusan concert without going through a travel agency, the number should be quite above this.

Grand Hotel relayed: “Concerts of Korean Wave stars are receiving attention because the rental fee for the venue and the advertising fee is affordable and it is also good for inviting the Japanese fans. Because Japan’s culture is different from ours, even if an idol fan, the Japanese fans are from a wide range of ages from those in the twenties to those in the sixties so that there are many instances in which the mother, the daughter, the grandmother, and the son book together.

JYJ is in the middle of a world tour concert that began in Thailand last April and stopped in the US, China, Canada, and others. JYJ plans to hold the finale performance in the coming weekend in Pusan’s Sajik Indoors Gymnasium. The reason that JYJ selected Pusan even though most finale performances are held in Seoul is because the current world tour schedule did not have Japan.

On the other hand, the regional airline Air Pusan also plans to fly special chartered airplanes in an unprecedented move for the Korean Wave fans. Currently demands for additional seats for the Pusan-Osaka route that are travelled twice a day poured down so that as soon as the A321-200 Airplane with 195 seats were offered as chartered planes the seats sold out in two days.

JYJ is a group that was born when Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu of the SM-affiliated group TVXQ withdrew from the group and are active in singing, acting, and other such variety of fields. In particular JYJ is gathering much popularity in Japan, for instance having the Tokyo Dome Performance Live DVD record #1 in Japan’s sales rankings.

JYJ World Tour Pusan Concert, Sells out 20,000 Seats in 15 Minutes

The Pusan Concert of JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) has sold out within 15 minutes of ticket reserve sale.

The entirety of the 20,000 tickets for the Pusan Concert on June 11 and 12, which is the final stop of the World Tour concert, was sold out within 15 minutes of opening ticket sales at 8pm of the 27^th. The JYJ World Tour Korea Concert tickets were sold through Interpark and all of the tickets for the two concerts that are scheduled to be held at 7pm on June 11 and 12 were sold out instantaneously.

An affiliate of Interpark revealed: “Before opening of the sale inquiries poured forth. After we opened the sales at 8pm, after a delay of connection for about 15 minutes, 20,000 seats were instantaneously sold out. It should only be possible because this is JYJ.”

The JYJ Concert 2011 that began in April in Thailand finished the Asia Tour in China and Taiwan and such, and from last week is proceeding on its North American leg, and is becoming a talk of the town wherever it goes. JYj who finish their American Tour on the 3^rdof next month will come to finish the 2-month run of the World Tour with the Pusan Concert of the 11^th and 12^th. JYJ plans to put their efforts to the Pusan Concert as an occasion to finish up the past 7 concerts.

This concert which will be held in Pusan Sajik Indoors Gymnasium is a collaborative stage between Kim Jaejoong who was the executive director of the Asia Tour and Jeri Slaughter who was the executive director of the America Tour. It is gathering expectations to be a well-made performance that combines masterpiece singing ability unique to JYJ and a communicative performance.
