A representative of Prain, the company in charge of JYJ’s PR, made a statement regarding KBS’s explanation as to why JYJ’s appearance on a KBS program was cancelled.
This representative stated, “KBS’s explanation did not answer a single question that JYJ’s representatives made,” and “What JYJ’s representatives called for was the reason why JYJ’s appearance was suddenly cancelled.” He continued to add, “We believe that JYJ, who were already promoting the cause as honorary ambassadors, could have appeared on the program as planned, regardless of Girls’ Generation and f(x)’s appearances. Other honorary ambassadors who were promised an appearance performed as planned, so we do not know why only JYJ were given a notification of cancellation.“
JYJ were scheduled to appear on the KBS special program ‘Challenge! 7 Natural Wonders of the World, This is Jeju’ as honorary ambassadors to the island’s nomination but were given a notification of cancellation by KBS four days before the performance. To this, JYJ’s representatives stated in an official statement that, “We have reported this case to the Fair Trade Commission and will carry out a lawsuit against the obstructions made against JYJ’s independent activities.”
On the 28th, KBS stated in their viewers’ thread that, “We received a call of confirmation from Girls’ Generation and f(x), who were on our list of celebrities to cast in the performance, saying that they would be able to perform,” and “As Girls’ Generation and f(x) have already spread out globally, even to Europe, we decided that their appearance would be more effective in promoting Jeju, which is in the running to be one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, to the world(broadcasting live to 72 countries through KBS World).”
The Prain representative stated, “We do not wish to cause a conflict with KBS because of this issue,” and “However, we will wait for the verdict from the Fair Trade Commission regarding this issue and we hope that such illogical events will not occur again in the future.”

[TRANS] 110719 JYJ’s Petition Is Close To Reaching 10,000… The KBS Controversy Still Blazes Bright
A petition has been set up on the controversy surrounding KBS’ cancellation of JYJ’s performance.
Currently in Daum’s petition thread Agora, a petition by the name of ‘KBS Jeju’s Baffling Cancellation Of JYJ’s Performance’. With two days left for the petition and a 10,000 signature goal, it has already collected over 9,200 signatures(6pm on the 19th).
The netizen who began the petition stated, “The representative of KBS Jeju stated in an interview that KBS apologized to JYJ, but we need a more detailed explanation,” and “KBS Jeju needs to apologize and explain the current situation.”
JYJ were scheduled to perform at the ‘Jeju 7 Natural Wonders of the World KBS Special’ on the 20th as the island’s honorary ambassadors. However, they received a notification of cancellation on the 16th from KBS Jeju.
JYJ’s management C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 17th, “We will take the appropriate legal action against those who deceived the artistes in this case.”

“We would like to first apologize to all the fans for causing them worry over JYJ’s cancellation. Illogical disruptions against JYJ continue to repeat themselves, and every time this occurs, we feel that hesitating is not being of any help to the artists involved, which is why we have decided to release a final statement.Like a flower that blooms in the blistering winter, JYJ continues to make great achievements amidst exterior pressure and disruptions. Under the name of JYJ, they have released a worldwide album with the help of world-renown artists, and were even introduced on the American Billboard. They are also leaders of the Hallyu wave, having gone on a worldwide concert tour that has brought in over 100,000 people both in Korea and overseas.Unfortunately, JYJ continues to encounter cancellations for their TV appearances, much like what happened recently.C-JeS Entertainment will no longer pay such matters any attention and feel any joy or grief from them; instead, we will be doing our absolute best with everything in our power to take actions to ensure that JYJ will be able to walk the path they desire. We have filed a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission for this case with KBS, and we will take legal action for any further disruptions of JYJ’s individual activities.Not only that, we will continue to focus on the original lawsuit by using the recent controversy (as well as many others) as an accumulation of evidence. Unfortunately, I feel that there will continue to be mountains standing in our way, even if we win the original lawsuit;the situation will not change all that much.C-JeS Entertainment will continue to walk the path that JYJ have been on all this while. In the future, JYJ will continue to advance onto stages all over the world to show off their talents to their hearts’ desire, and to present joy through their music and acting.Lastly, JYJ will continue to work as honorary ambassadors of the ‘NW7′ and promote the beautiful Jeju Island.
