[NEWS] 120227 Park Yoochun: “Rooftop Prince’s charisma is the smile which screenwriter likes”

Park Yoochun expressed his preparedness for his new drama special ‘Rooftop Prince’.

SBS’s ‘Good Morning’ show broadcasted the poster photoshoot scene for ‘Rooftop Prince’ on Feb. 27.

When the production crew asked if it is difficult playing the role, he said with a laugh, “The charisma is emerging episode by episode. I try by hoping that the screenwriter will like it.”

When ask about co-acting with Han Jimin, he said, “I work hard to get rid of the awkwardness. Also, I talk naturally to her in order to make her feel comfortable. We became more comfortable with each other.”

The first broadcast of SBS’s new drama special ‘Rooftop Prince’ will be shown on Mar. 14 at 9.55pm.

[NEWS] 120227 JYJ Yoochun’s “Rooftop Prince” Overwhelming Favorite Among Japanese Fans

JYJ Yoochun’s upcoming TV drama series, “Rooftop Prince,” has been voted the overwhelming top pick among Japanese fans for “2012’s Most Anticipated Korean Drama.”

According to “Innolife.net,” a Japanese website specializing in Hallyu content, SBS “Rooftop Prince” received 59.2% of the total votes in a survey that asked which TV drama series would be the most anticipated once the currently airing MBC “The Moon That Embraces the Sun” comes to an end. The second place went to Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA’s KBS drama “Love Rain.” But the KBS drama only attracted 447 votes, or 14.6% of the total votes, which is nearly a 44.6% difference with “Rooftop Prince.”

“We knew fans were interested in ‘Rooftop Prince,’ but had no idea it was this popular overseas. I’d like to thank all the fans and we’ll do our best to make sure we satisfy their expectations,” Kim Na Young, the main producer of “Rooftop Prince” said.

SBS “Rooftop Prince” will air its first episode on March 14 at 10PM KST. So far, JYJ’s Yoochun and Han Ji Min have been cast as the two lead roles. They will appear alongside Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Min Ho, and Jung Suk Won, among many others.

120227 “Rooftop Prince” Even Park Yoochun & Han Ji Min’s Kiss Is Highly Praised

Group JYJ’s Yoochun and Han Ji Min demonstrated their excellent chemistry.

During the broadcast of SBS’s “Good Morning – Entertainment Special” on 27 February, the photoshoot location of “Rooftop Prince”‘s posters was shown.

Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min were seen shooting affectionately, and managed tocomplete a scene with a peck, requested by the director, without any difficulty. Park Yoochun pecked Han Ji Min on the cheek without hesitation, and the shoot ended with just one take.

In response to a reporter’s question, “Is there any awkwardness when acting with Han Ji Min?”, Park Yoochun replied, “I was a bit worried at first, but Han Ji Min makes people feel comfortable, so it naturally became easier (for us) to work together.”

Meanwhile, SBS’s romantic-fantasy drama “Rooftop Prince” is scheduled to broadcast on 14 March.

[Message] Sorry for not posting

Hi All!

We didn't realize that it has been a week since we last posted anything.  Sorry.  We will do our best to update you with the happenings of the last week.  

If you're wondering what kept us away from the blog, well, aside from life's daily demands...we've been a bit busy playing Rule the Sky and was recently bitten by the "The moon that embraces the sun" bug so we were watching the past 16 episodes.

You all know why we started playing Rule the Sky but you must be wondering why we started watching "The moon that embraces the sun".   Well, the simple reason is that we found out that the role was originally offered to Yoochun and he chose to turn it down.  After reading many of the fan comments in JYJ3, we decided to check out the drama to see what it was about.  To put it simply, it's a great drama.  The question now is, would we have wanted it for Yoochunah?

Well, the simple answer is, NO.  

Of course, we want him to be in a drama that is well loved and well received by the viewing public (40% rating and all); however, we don't think the "shoe fits" well.  It goes without saying that had he taken the role we know he would have done a great job; but quite frankly, the role was not made for him (and we think he knew it too that's why he didn't accept it). The role would have type casted him in a way and put him in a "box" of sort that would have limited him in the future. Besides, if you look at the current cast...it's perfect just the way it is (considering none of them are the first choice for their roles).  

As for Attic Prince/Rooftop Prince....We will definitely see a different dimension to Yoochun's acting! Counting the days to Episode 1!
