Group JYJ’s territory for music is extending without any boundary limit.

Together with the release of their worldwide album, JYJ continues to march beyond Asia to Europe via North America. In this sense, on the 6^th (local time), Berlin’s tempo is a place of their Europe Tour and also the last destination of the World Tour. The passion of the members and the heat of their fans was rumored to be the hottest as ever.

Just like the performance in Barcelona, Spain previously, some fans could be seen building tents and lining up a day earlier so as to grab a good seat. Fans were holding pickets that wrote “I’ll protect you” in their hands.

Sports Korea thus released an unreleased cut of the passionate moment.

# Charismatic trio of three colors

The determination of the members at the performance was more strong-minded than ever. Regardless of the size of the stage, they were determined to meet fans from all over the world. The charisma of the members who dominated the stage intensely at times and gentle at times, emit light overtime.

Spanish Media Calls JYJ "Three Justin Biebers"

On October 29, the prominent Spanish news site, El Mundo, released an article on JYJ (second section of the article) in light of their "JYJ Europe Tour Concert 2011" in Barcelona, Spain. It is the first time that El Mundo wrote an article on a Korean musician group. 

On October 29, which was the date of the concert, an article was written to introduce JYJ as well as express the anticipation for the concert. 

The article introduces JYJ as "a sensational, young, boy band from Korea." The headline of the artcile read, "Three Justin Biebers Have Appeared," and the article continues to introduce JYJ's album and the Europe tour. The article also informs, "JYJ has worked with Kanye West and sold over 500,000 copies of their album. Recently, their 'In Heaven' album has been released and they have started their European Tour."

Introductions and descriptions of each JYJ member are also in the article. "Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong are very good-looking like Justin Bieber. Their masculine style is very trendy. Fans go crazy over their powerful facial expressions."

Sources from JYJ say, "We are very happy that a prominent Spanish news site wrote a full article on JYJ as an international music group rather than just a reference to K-Pop. During the press conference, there were a lot more reporters than expected so we were very pleasantly surprised. We believe that this is a good sign for possibly further promotions in Europe."

JYJ held press conferences on the day before the concert as well as the day of the concert. Over 50 reporters from different news outlets attended and showed great interset in JYJ. Local TV, radio and newspaper outlets attended the press conferences and took much interest in JYJ's successful Japanese and American tours, further proving that JYJ is one of the greatest Asian music groups

 "Tatiana Alvarez," a Spanish local radio station from Cataluña, exclaimed, "The most surprising point is that this group is from a country that is not that well known in Spain and their concert is a sold-out show. After seeing them in the press conference, we realize how attractive and charismatic this team is and we now see the reason for their immense success."

JYJ will hold another concert in the Berlin Tempodrom in Germany on November 6. This concert also sold-out tickets just minutes after ticket sales have opened. Much anticipation and excitement await for JYJ's next concert.

[NEWS] 111104 JYJ targeting Europe – Why it is praiseworthy?

“We’re hungry to show you what a real World Tour is!”

Group JYJ is the first singer of Republic of Korea who succeeded a solo concert in Spain. On the 29th Oct (local time) JYJ had a brilliant concert at Poble Espanyol, Barcelona, in front of 3000 people which didn’t include only Spanish fans but also other European fans from France, Netherlands, Switzerland, etc.

This concert was indeed a challenge. Although among domestic netizens, there were different opinions regarding the number of audience, the meaning and value of JYJ’s challenge are not going to fade. It was hard to find a reputable promoter for a concert of Korean artist. This is reality. For this concert, JYJ’s agency C-Jes Entertainment has directly worked on it from A to Z and has had to overcome several obstacles.

Europe is like a wasteland. For a Korean artist to hold a solo concert in Spain, it was full of burdens and problems that general public couldn’t imagine of. Moreover, it wasn’t a concert planned with participation of various artists from a large company but a fruit achieved by just one team. Therefore, the challenge is praiseworthy enough itself and we can’t help praising its meaning.

If we must compare numerically, the number of attendees was of course humble. They are JYJ who could mobilize tens of thousands of audience if the concert was held in Korea or Japan. Just look at the concert in Japan which was held before European tour, they sang in front of 40,000 spectators per day, so 80,000 in total. But in the strange land of Spain, they stood in front of thousands of spectators. Even so, JYJ has brought off a more elated stage than ever. The press that has directly attended the concert and the officials agreed that “Although they have stood in front of tens of thousands of fans just a few days ago… they really tried their best, without low-spiritedness or fear.”

The more praiseworthy thing is their ultimate goal to break through into Europe.

Representative of C-Jes Entertainment, Mr. Baek Changjoo had a meet up with Osen in Spain. He described JYJ’s ultimate goal to become World Star, “Our final goal is to achieve a real world tour. Even in Europe, large companies have brought large-scale concerts to Paris (France), London (UK), etc. But JYJ is facing a new challenge by starting a solo concert in Spain and Germany, countries where the embers of K-pop were just about to fire. Our dream is to eventually hold a real meaningful world tour encompassing all Asia, America and Europe. Through this European tour, we want to verify our potential and to make this an opportunity to introduce K-pop more to Europeans. I think a real world tour is clearly possible if we can make it in South America too after this.”

He also added with firm determination, “If a foreign artist can mobilize 10,000 spectators for a solo concert, it could be called great success. We aim to hold a world tour including Europe once a year, every time we release an album and to do a showcase in Europe in the future.”

[NEWS] JYJ’s Spain Promoter Confirms 3000 Attended the Meaningful Barcelona Concert

JYJ Concert in Spain. A Brave Beginning, More Important Than Its Scale

With the perspectives splitting, there is rising controversy about the Spain Concert from Group JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu).

On the 29^th of last month, group JYJ held JYJ Europe Tour Concert 2011 in Barcelona, Spain while 3000 fans gathered. They held the concert in Poble Espanyol of Barcelona, Spain, and this was the first for a Korean artist.

After the concert, a few are raising doubt as to the objective facts on the number of the members of the audience gathered on the scene, the number of fans of the area, and the publishing of the event by foreign press.

On this day, the concert was crowded from early on due to the fans who gathered—not merely Asian fans from Korea, China, Japan and such but also from all over Europe. There were even some fans of the region who showed enthusiasm enough to make them put up a tent to stay up overnight in foul weather in order to take a position that is close to the stage.

The most eye-catching thing about this concert was the fact that not merely fans of Asia but also a number of foreign fans from Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and such filled the seats. They shouted the names of the members in precise Korean pronunciation and sang along to the songs.

According to Open Music Jordi, the promoter (of JYJ) in Spain, as the result of counting after the audience entered the venue, it has become confirmed that 3000 persons visited the venue as a member of the audience.

Poble Espanyol is a plaza-style venue and it was filled by the 3000 fans who entered it in order. When the concert began and JYJ appeared on the stage, the fans gathered in front of the stage and waved the red glowsticks.

Even after the concert was over, they shouted “I love you, JYJ” and were not able to leave the scene easily.

When compared to the world tours in other locations such as Korea, Japan, Thailand and such, the concert in Spain which was the first of the European Tour [destinations] of JYJ was relatively small in scale.

But JYJ showed a brave mindset of beginning again by holding a solo concert for the first time as Korean artists in Europe. Also, even though this was small scale, they relayed the appeal of K-pop to the fans of Europe and had a meaningful time of informing them of JYJ’s existence.

In the press conference held prior to the concert, JYJ revealed their heart: “We think it is only natural that the first concert is small in scale. We put meaning to the fact that we are doing a tour in Europe and we want to fulfill [milestones] one by one from small places, with the mindset of beginning again from the start line.” As they said, JYJ have made the first meaningful step towards expanding into Europe.

JYJ had a successful start for the Europe tour with 3,000 enthusiastic fans in Spain.

“JYJ Europe Tour Concert 2011 in Barcelona, Spain” was held at Poble Espanyol plaza in Barcelona, Spain on October 29th that was the first Europe concert of JYJ as well as the first Spain single concert by Korean singers.

The affection and zeal for JYJ and their music by JYJ manias from Spain with just 500 overseas Korean residents, European countries and Central and South America were enough to astonish journalists from Korea.

Started by ‘Empty’ in JYJ worldwide album, JYJ sang total 14 songs including songs from recently released Korean album ‘In Heaven’, and drama OSTs to create a perfect stage with genuine passion.

Fans sang along the chorus in Korean throughout the concert and shouted loudly after every singing, demonstrating the power of JYJ once again.

Yu Chun remarked that “we would like to introduce our music with proper assessment’, while Jae Joong said that “I think it is meaningful to deliver our music in a strange country. It would be better if a year were 24 months.” Jun Su said “we want to get more countries, and also return to places where we had a concert to reward their excitement.”

JYJ came up the stage thanks to encore requests by fans, and it was over after 11 pm. Emotional fans, who could not easily leave the place, were heating up the passions in fall night of Barcelona.

[TRANS] JYJ in Spain – Concert in Barcelona: “I arrived as Press and returned as a Fan”

And finally the concert came. With concerns all the week about possible rain made us doubt until the last minute if everything would be okay or should be any problems. In the morning we were relieved to say at the press conference that the probability of precipitation would be almost impossible. So it seemed that everything was going to be a great that night. And boy it arrived.

After some delay typical of these great events the doors opened for the public outside to enter and filling the Poble Espanyol. I learned the square was filled with about 3,000 people ready to enjoy JYJ. And after an intro of colored light from lasers and lightsticks they arrived:

As three fallen angels from heaven, clothed in white with gold accents, they introduced to their  fans. Surely more than one must have felt “In heaven”. It was for anything less, because these guys gave their all on stage, and they put their fans and everyone in their pocket.

I arrived as Press and returned as a Fan

That could be my phrase for the night. As I said in the entrance of the press conference, to me JYJ didn’t wake me up much interest. In fact, I can easily recognize that I learned their names this past week, and on their way to Barcelona on Chanpoo’s car  I hear it their songs. And to be honest, I didn’t like it much.

But a Live Concert can change it everything. And it was hard to resist the energy they transmitted from the stage. There was a time when the connection with the fans was such that it gave me goosebumps.

For me there were several factors that influenced this concert grazed perfection. Those listed below:

They gave everything on the stage

If there is something fans can’t complain it’s for implication. Jaejoond didn’t look the same guy as the press conference and  this time he felt like a fish in water but on stage, enjoying the affection of the fans and looking for their complicity in several times.

Junsu took his natural leadership and showed the charisma he has. After the concert I came to read comments online from fans amazed at Junsu in live.

Yoochun was the most fun and sensual of the three. Mixture of naughtiness and testosterone releasing his winks and complicit smiles to the fans that I’m sure he made more that one raise their tension.

The spectacular fans

They can’t complain about the behavior of fans at the concert, which was more than excellent.

The atmosphere created by the ligthsticks at times was memorable. The passion of the Spanish fans (from what I’ve seen in some concerts, nothing to do with the Koreans) made the atmosphere warm. If  they knew Spanish and understand what most of them shouted, they surely would be blushing.

Moments like this where all the fans together taked out their posters written with “Gracias” (Thank you)  (in several languages, though mostly in Spanish), was another of those epic moments of the night.

I found very curious some things the fans bring it to encourage the boys. This from Mickey Mouse (If I didn’t mistake) Yoochun also is called “Micky”. It’s too childish for him, right? xD

A choreography according to the show

When it became known that Rafa Mendez (Famous for appearing as a dance teacher in Fame, CuatroTV) was to be the choreographer of JYJ, it left many critics. Perhaps in large part, I believe, by the characteristics of his personality. Face it, he isn’t someone to leave you indifferent, you like him or hate him. However the group dance choreography presented and silenced many mouths. There will always be, it’s normal, someone who didn’t like it. But personally I found it right at every moment. The dances were in line with the songs. Later I saw video clips and I have verified that.

And at the end when they played the last two songs, the dancers were a little more prominence. I believe that benefited Yoochun and Jaejoong, who seemed not great dancers, and served however for Junsu to shine making the fans broke into applause when he was holding back in one hand.

A concert that was very close to the fans

It could have been the typical concert where singers come around, play their songs and go. That isn’t what happened to JYJ. In the rest time, they used the big screen to put images and video clips of making offs. I heard there were people who complained, but most enjoyed the videos. I found very curious to hear the screams of the fans every time any of them appeared on screen and also when they  drew a smile or put a funny face.

The concert stopped at different times where they were asked a few things and two girls were translating what they were answering.  I think that was very good, as a kind of public fanmeeting for all and where you could feel them closer. And just this gave rise to perhapsthe best moment of the night.

They were being question  what they had learned in Spanish.

Yoochun said the first thing he learned at arriving in Spain was “Besame Mucho: Kiss me alot” (He ran off embarrassed while the fans erupted in ecstasy and shouted everything xD)

Jaejoong said that he had learned to say “Te Quiero: I love you”  (and the fans went crazy again).

After some teasing from Yoochun to Jaejoong where we saw them natural and enjoying the night and the affection of the fans, Junsu finished getting the public in the pocket  (in case they didn’t) saying “Os queremos: We want you” and pointing to all the the public.

To record and take photos without problems

Days before the concert one of the concerns was the fact  if people who weren’t press could get cameras or video to the venue. But in the end everyone could come and use their cameras which also made ​​the fans enjoy the moment and record  to remember all those moments that will surely be very important to them.

The concert ended and they had worked hard. Many fans asked Jaejoong to take off his jacket xD ( How smart!). The poor guy was busted and sweating. The truth is that he found himself on stage.

They played two more songs before leaving. They apologized for not playing more, saying they had no more repertoire. I still think that everything can be forgiven after his exemplary behavior.

If it was for the fans, the concert had not ended, ever.

And with this picture I end my story of the concert. I was very happy there. I honestly thought it would bore me to tears because it is not my style of music, however I did enjoy as one more fan.

A concert that thanks to them it seemed perfect. I know, there were also some complications and things weren’t so good. But now isn’t the time or place to talk about it. It is best to keep all the good feelings of that night, which were many, and think positive.

That is, I really missed not being able to spend this concert with my carinyet. Jumi, I go to a concert with you soon (T/N Jumi is Robert’s wife).
